Unused Memories

Unused Memories

By Bhagyashri Patki

We often don’t give importance to small things. It also happens in life that with passage of time we forget or sometimes leave cherishing things or people that were once very dear. However, consciously or subconsciously what remains are faded memories.

In this series that I call “Unused memories” I photograph objects that are forgotten andmerely live as leftovers. These objects that at some point in time were objects of someone’s day to day use. Now they stand as if endlessly waiting to be touched. These images for me are like shadows of someone’s life. The objects casting an energy on me and trying to communicate something.
