Fseven invites applications for a 3 month program in documentary photography. This is a hands on – on the job instruction module that will require the mentee to work on a live documentary project. By the end of the mentorship period, the mentee would be able to conceptualize a project, research and bring together resources for the same and bring out photographs in suitable formats – exhibitions, books, et al. The mentorship period will follow a schedule of topics and activities/ interactions which would be additional to the project shooting.
Each mentee would be assigned a mentor (current Fseven Member) who would be the point of reference for the mentorship period. However, during the mentorship period the mentee/s will interact with all Fseven members as and where required. To facilitate detailed and personalized attention, at any time, each mentor has only two mentees associated with him/ her.
No of open positons – Eight only. Selection of a mentor will be largely subjective and basis a series of interactions with members of the Fseven Photographers collective. Invited students would be required to showcase their existing portfolios as part of their applications for the program.
Program Fee
Rs 20,000/- for the entire program. The fee is payable in installments. Information on payment modes and timelines will be provided at an advanced stage of discussions.
